Buying ethnic wear for a dog
Festive clothing fails on dogs for one reason. It is cut to a label size rather than to the animal. A kurta that is right across the chest but short along the back rides up the moment the dog sits, and every photograph from that evening shows it.
Careatic sizes the whole festive line the same way it sizes raincoats. Pick the breed, pick the life stage, and the size number comes with it. A size 26 kurta and a size 26 raincoat are cut to the same dog.

The thing that bothers a dog is a bad fit, not the occasion. A piece cut to a label size rides up the moment they sit, and then they spend the evening trying to get out of it. Careatic sizes on one measurement, neck to hip along the back, so the length is right when they are standing and still right when they are sitting.
Give them ten minutes in it at home before the day itself. A dog that has worn it once ignores it the second time.
Follow the care line on that design's own product page, because it changes with the work on the piece. Heavy thread, mirror and sequin work is not treated the same way as a printed piece.

Take the larger one. If you are between two life stages, take the older stage. Festive wear is worn for an evening, not a season, and a piece with a little room reads as tailored in photographs while a tight one reads as a costume.
